I know that I have not posted in about two months and there has been so many wonderful things going on in our life! This is going to be a blog about everything that we have done over the last two months!
I think I will start from Craigs vacation. On Craigs vacation we went to see his famiy in Georgia. Chris, Craig's brother, Jenifer, Chris wife, and Branham, Chris and Jenifer's baby, moved back to Georgia so the ENTIRE family had a welcome back party for them. We went to Nannie's (Craigs Grandmother) man friend's house. He has swimming pool, four wheelers, and a golf cart. We grilled out not really we grilled out but Uncle Kenneth grilled out.We just ate!!
Also, Alan and Gennie came to the cookout and then came over to Chris's house after! They have a little boy Landon that is six months younger than Noah. Alan and Gen are dear friends that we do not get to see nearly enough!!Alan and Craig are childhood friends, they are the kind of friends that never speak but when they do it is like they talk everyday! These kind of friends are hard to come by and we love them dearly!
While we were in Georgia we went to Stone Mountain to watch the laser light show. Chris and I had to drag Jenifer and Craig along but it was so much fun even in the rain!We stayed in Georgia from Friday to Tuesday, then Chris and Jen came to AL to build our deck! They stayed in Al Wednesday thru Tuesday I think.
Anyway after a week or so of Noah and Branham being together, Noah started talking more and more and saying new words. He also tries to imitate everything Branham does.
Oh and Craig bought a truck on vacation that made the ninth car we have had in four years. There is a reason this is not elaborated on!
After vacation we started getting ready for Noahs birthday! Noah was full blast all the time and I tutored and cleaning the daycare we were pretty much busy all the time.
In June and July we came into contact with Craig's real dad and his wife Marti. They have been very involved with our lives and we have decided to try to get together once a month or so. Craig enjoyed getting to see his dads family that he has not seen since he was a child.
After the weekend with the Philips side of his family it was full blast all about Noah and his party! I was everyday getting ready for family coming and the big party!
This is the tractor we got Noah for his birthday. He LOVED it.....
Construction Site double decker cookie cake! Aunt Kim made the cake and icing while Aunt Jen decorated with oreos. I ordered the cone candles and used Noahs toy tractors!
Chicken bites aka loose gravel!! Hot dogs aka falling logs!!! Cheese puff balls aka Wrecking balls. I am pretty sure Katie and Jenifer decorated the table! This party would not have been the same if it was not for them!!!
Presents Presents Presents!!!! Thank you to all who came and made his party so special!!!
Stay tuned for the next episode of The life as a Self!!!!

A week in my life
It has been awhile since I have posted and I have so much to say. Let me start off with my child has become so mean! It all started when we went to Georgia to see Craig's brother Chris, his wife Jenifer, and their son Branham. Branham is two almost three. Well when we got there they played so well together. Well we went to a get together that Sherrie(Craig’s Mom) had at her apartment in Atlanta and Noah, Branham, and another little boy were playing with toys and everyone was fine. Well they all start fighting over the motorcycle which is normal for kids but Noah threw a toy in the little boys face!! Oh my so after I get on to him for it he later gets the motorcycle and acts like he is going to give it to the other kids then jerks it away from them and laughs. So we leave there and go home. The next morning Branham comes in our room (to get Noah up) and Chris gets on to him so all we here is Branham crying, well Noah thinks that is funny and laughs at him. All that morning Noah is getting toys and playing keep away from Branham. Every time Branham would get upset Noah would laugh. So I try to tell my mom how he was being mean and his actions but she makes excuses like he is just a boy or he is just fast and into everything. Well I took him to camp for the night so she could see him and he acted so bad and doing the same thing and the first thing she says to me is "Jill he is so mean!" Well now she believes me. He was so horrible at camp. I got the wooden spoon out and kept it with us the entire time. Every time he got his brat on he got the spoon on his behind. I hope he grows out of this quick!!
So as you know we have trouble with Noah eating dog food, well the little stinker has made a plan. I am cleaning the house and I happen out of the corner of my eye see Noah run to his car in the other room. So I stop to watch him, he opens the seat, then he looks around for someone watching he then gets some dog food and sticks it in his mouth. I go over to find handfuls of dog food the child has placed in his car!!!Another strange thing is on Monday I went to help my Aunt Kim at the daycare and Noah was playing in his class. Teresa Payne his teacher brings him to me and says "look at his ear" My child’s ear is swollen and so red it is purple. She says he hasn’t cried about it, hasn’t been pulling on it, never cried like he hit it, and it wasn’t sore because he was letting us touch it. I am thinking great what has this child done now!! I immediately leave and take him to the doctor all to find out that it was not any kind of infection, but he had to hit it on something or he got bit by a bug. Since it was bruised the next day we guessed he had to hit it on something.
On another note... I am on the job hunt! I am so thankful for my sister in law Katie! She has been so sweet and supportive through everything and has helped me so much. I know that I can text her for any reason and she always has the right thing to say! I do not know what I would do without her. Not only is she so amazing for me but Noah absolutely loves her and she loves him.
So Craig and I went out to eat tonight because my chicken didn’t turn out so well. Anyway we go to Bryants seafood and it was awful! The food was so greasy that the bottom of my plate had about on inch of grease on it. GROSS!!! Anyway it was also WAY over priced!!! The waitress was so spastic! I started laughing at her in her face!!! Craig ordered this thing that you pick 3 and she starts writing down everything you can pick from. Craig looks at me like and I just start laughing and said "I think he just gets to pick three of those." Then we go to Lowe's and the nice man that helped us said "How is your night?" I reply with "Oh my goodness we just ate and it was horrible with a cracked out waitress and it was way worse than ever!!" The poor man just looks at Craig. Then we start asking him questions and he says "let me find someone in this department" we never saw him again!!! Wow we had a great date night!!!
And that about sums it up for the week!!!

Busy life/parenting classes
It has been so long since I blogged because my oh so wonderful husband loves to watch motorcycle videos and he opened a virus that made my computer go insane and I had to put it in the Austin shop for a couple of weeks. Oh husbands!!! On that note I am just going to go ahead and vent! My husband thinks that he should get to come home and sit and rest after work. Hmm I don’t get to come and sit and rest. Nope I have a one year old to handle, dinner to cook, and usually need to be working on something for my sweet little girl I tutor to be working on. Oh well enough about that I am over it.
Onto what you really want to hear about....Noah!! I can’t even remember the last time I put a post but I am pretty sure it was before we went to uncle RayRay’s wedding! This was a weekend that I will never forget, will never do again, and wish it didn’t happen.
The Thursday before I packed everything for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Craig and I both had to work and be in Ashville by 5:30. Craig gets home at 4 and Ashville is a good hour and 45 minutes away. The rehearsal dinner was Friday night and went really well considering we were 15 minutes late (which rayray and jaymie knew we would be because of Craig’s work) Noah fell down the brick steps only twice which was good. The wedding is at a house they had all the chairs set up little tables for the flowers on the isle. It was beautiful! Well Mr. Noah gets out of the car like he owned the place and starts moving the chairs, picking up the tables and moving them, running in the house, I am talking about full throttle. Well everyone was oh cute and loving it while I was about to go insane!!Well we get through that and we decided that we were going to stay in a hotel closer to the wedding site so we wouldn’t have to drive so far back home then all the way back that next morning. So we go stay at a hotel in Pell City. Everything’s going good. Noah loved riding the luggage rack! Well the groom decides they are going to meet for breakfast at 730 because they have to be at the house at 9. Ok so we wake up at 600 get ready and head out. Well we didn’t realize we were going to meet them on the Gadsden side which is like an hour away. Then we get lost for an hour and show up at the breakfast at 8:15 had to leave at 8:30. Ok so the morning goes great Noah is playing we are running outside staying out of the way until the wedding time. I waited until closer to the wedding to put our dress clothes on. Ok keep in mind we have been up since 6 had to be at the house at 9 and wedding starts at 1. We only have one car and almost 2 hours away from home. So we change about 1145 and I finally get Noah asleep he sleeps throught the entire ceremony! I am thinking wow this is going really good and pretty smooth only to realize I was so wrong. The clapping and the end of ceremony wakes Noah up. So we try reception. It was AWFUL!!! Noah completly starts throwing fits screaming running around. Wanting inside and out wanting to eat and not eat. Oh my gosh!! I had been running after this child all morning because Craig was in pictures. The band was setting up, people were decorating, others were cooking, cakes were coming. Not a place for Noah!! Craig is sitting at the table and Noah pitches himself a fit on the dance floor!! He is yelling, throwing himself down, I had to throw my cup down yank him up and take him to timeout in front of EVERYONE!!!! The preacher leans over and says "It does get better." By this time I am tired, frustrated, in tears and I said Craig we have got to go I can’t handle it anymore. We did not even get to see our friends cut the cake and leave. I was so upset I was crying. So we finally leave and we are not going home we are going to Georgia to see Nannie. They have a huge mother’s day every year and Craig hadn’t seen her in so long we decided since we were half way there we would just go on! The trip there was awful. I was tired, Craig was tired, and Noah was beyond tired. I had to sit in the back with him and put my arm over him so he could hold it to keep from screaming. Then Craig and I get into it. So we finally get to Nannies and I took a shower and went to bed. We wake up and have to go straight to the mother’s day cookout because over slept and had no time with nannie. We did have fun at the cookout. The whole family went to Mr. Moody's house which is nannies "friend" he has a huge house with a pool a bar out by the pool and little pool house. He also has a garage with a "man cave" upstairs. He has some land and two four-wheelers. I Noah loved Mommy riding him on the four-wheeler. We had so much fun. Moody also had a golf cart that we took all around the little subdivision around his house. Marlene gave me a plant for mother’s day and the sweetest little card. Kenneth grilled steaks and everyone pitched in on the sides. It was delish food! So we come home and three- three and a half hours later we make it home! I took Noah’s happy self-right to bad poppa where he stayed the night and Craig and I came home unloaded the car threw the bags in the living room and went straight to bed! Exhausted was an understatement! I had to work the entire week so no time for unpacking. Over the week my house just got messier and messier.
Well it is one solid week later and I just cleaned my kitchen, picked up Noah’s toys, unpacked one bag and did one load of laundry I haven’t folded!!! whoop whoop go me! This was our crazy week! Noah went to daycare most every day last week and really didn’t do a whole lot. Of course he has played with his bad poppa and been a boy but nothing insane. Or I just was to tired to even notice.
On another note Nannie did tell me how she was glad I let Noah play in mud puddles and run around without being right around him and allowing him to run from one adult to another without having to walk with him. She said most parents would not do that and Moody and I were talking about how you and Craig just let him go. WOW!! Not so sure if that was a compliment or a you need to watch your child a little closer!! Oh well.
Yesterday at church, as I was talking to another teacher/friend about using them as a reference on my resume for teaching, I look over to find Noah had climbed on the pew with one leg over about to jump!!! Oh my I grabbed his arm and said "Noah have you lost your mind this is not our couch" Well probably not putting them down as a reference anymore!! They didn’t have nursery or toddlers due to graduation Sunday so NOAH WAS IN CHURCH WITH US!! I gave him his little dozer and things to play with, well he just starts banging that dozer on the wall like nothing in the world! Then yells out "MORE TIC TAC PLEASE MOMMY'" well he was so polite I was proud! Then good ole Breanna get out her phone and the child starts taking pictures!!! I didn't care he was quiet and happy! I even only lost him one time and it was cause his dozer worked on the tile floor not carpet so he had to step out of the door. Thank goodness someone else was watching and saw the panic look on my face. He said he is fine he is right here playing!! Oh me I need to take a parenting class.
(just so everyone knows I do watch and take care of my child but we as parents have out moments. Mine just happen to be all at once.)

Random
Oh where to start? Well this is going to be about the funny moments of Noah over the last four days. First let me explain the picture of Noah and Lilly Kate kissing. I went to pick Noah up and he comes out of the gate and everyone is telling him bye when Lilly Kate runs up to the fence I said "Noah tell Lilly Kate bye" thinking he would just say "bye, see ya" like he does everyone else but no he runs up to her reaches through the fence and just starts kissing. It was to the point we were all like oh my it is time to stop this, but it was extremely cute!
As most of you know Noah loves dog food. I am constantly telling him to stop and put it back or give it to mojo etc. Well most of the time he will grab a few pieces and eat it before I can catch him. Well one day I gave Noah a bowl with some of his crackers in it he was eating them watching tv. I was doing laundry and straightening I walked over to Noah to find that he had eaten all his crackers and filled his bowl with dog food and was eating it like a snack!!! Oh goodness it was that time of the day where you are just like whatever do what you want. I mean it is filled with protein and will make his coat shiny so why not. If it was going to hurt him it would have already. Now I know why he always wants to put food in mojo's bowl when it gets low. Well mojo's water bowl is next to his food bowl and sometimes it gets knocked over no big deal, we get towels and clean it up. Well yesterday our sink had a very slow leak; one of the connectors was loose. Well I was cleaning up under the sink and Noah was playing on his car. So I get done cleaning up and was putting things back under the sink and had to go get some things Noah drug across the floor. I walk over to see Noah had spilt the dog water EVERYWHERE! I say "ugh Noah did you do this?" He comes running around the table, stops, and puts on his surprise face and goes "ugh babble babble babble" like "oh my I can’t believe that happen I just don’t know what happen" It was so funny I just said "let’s go clean it up." He runs off to the bathroom to help me get towels. That is one thing he loves to help clean up. The other night he took his plate to the sink and tried his best to put it on the counter. He just melts my heart everyday over and over again.
Well we are trying to potty train a little and Noah is doing ok at it but not wonderful well anyways he had a pull up on and so I had not checked it because you could tell it was still dry so when I was putting a diaper on him before bed there was a bobby pin in his pull up. Yes my bobby pin for my hair was stuck down in his pull up. I held it up and Noah just starts laughing like "Oh I forgot about that!"
This is how you know Noah is total boy! I was giving him a bath and he was playing well I hear him pass gas I look over to make sure he isn’t trying to poop and he is looking down laughing because it made bubbles in the water. Haha he wasn’t sure what had happen so he was trying to figure it out and he passed gas again well then he realized that was causing the bubbles. He started smiling and laughing, he thought it was the funniest thing. So he starts yelling "Daddy, Daddy" Craig comes in there and Noah points down and says "bubbles!" I told Craig what he did and so Craig starts talking to him about it saying "good job man" and so on. Well he did it again while craig was still in there and they laughed and carried on. It was funny but it was also nice to see them being boys! It was a moment that made memories for all of us. While we are on the subject about Craig I will tell another story. Craig works a lot and by the time her gets home we eat and noah gets bathed it is bed time so not much play time. I have been home the last few days with noah and Noah has been asking all day long for his daddy. "Where is daddy" and he will check all the rooms and I keep saying at work baby he will be home soon. I am really use to it but yesterday it really got to me. Luckily Craig came home on time and to see that baby’s face just made me realize how important Craig is to him and I told Craig about him asking all day so they played and talked and all. After all that we had to run some errands so we stopped at Quiznos to eat. Noah was sitting there eating and all of a sudden the started throwing his chips down on the floor and laughing. I said "Noah no sir, you don’t throw your food" well he got his chip and held it in his hand under the table. We were at a high top table so we could clearly see under the table and Craig said "boy don’t do it" Well Noah looks him right in the face, slowly raises his hand to his mouth takes a bite then lets the rest of it fall. Neither of them take their eyes off each other while I am turned around trying so hard not to laugh out loud. Oh wow it was so funny! Then Noah just continues eating like nothing ever happen.
Noah is talking a lot and starting to make sentences. He tells me all the time "Bye momma, right back" then gets on his car and drives around the house. He started saying "thank you momma" just putting more words together. When you ask him something he babbles on and pauses like respond to me. This morning I asked him why he won’t sleep in his own room he babbled on and at the end said "ok" so I said "ok". If I ask him if he wants lunch he will respond by "not yet" or "bites." Well I had to take him to the doctor yesterday he had a rash cough runny nose and such turns out its just allergies of course and his rash is from pollen but that is a whole other subject. When we pulled up at the doctor Noah says "bebe where are we" mom says "we are at the doctor" Noah just looks around. So we go in and Noah does not even cry when the doctor comes in. He stands on the table and Doctor comes over and sticks the stethoscope under his shirt Noah looks over at me with a smile raises those eyebrows like "Just wait I am going to get him." It was too funny. It is sad that he already has that look to him but he is my child.
Well I guess that is enough for now. There will be more where this came from!!!
Hope you enjoyed my little Noah!

What kind of day will we have?
Well some days are laid back and easy but most days are so busy we cannot take a breath without Noah getting into something. For example one day Noah and I stayed home and by 9:00 Noah climbed on the entertainment center, on top of the kitchen table and while I was doing the dishes he opened the oven door climbed on top of it and was trying to climb on top of the oven to the counter by using the oven racks. Now that was a day!!
Most of you may know already but my daddy comes over on Saturday and Sunday mornings to get Noah so that his baby girl can sleep. This also gives Noah and bad poppa quality time! Well this morning Mom and dad were going to take him to Brady and Brooks soccer game while I went to clean the daycare. They are getting ready to leave when Noah gets the keys to moms car puts them in the ignition and cranks the car. By the way mom was standing beside the car and I think dad was in the car he was not unattended. Well you can already tell what kind of day today will be.
Does Noah watch the soccer games? Well no daddy takes him to play at the playground where he climbs up about 15 to 20 steps and slides down. No fear in Noah (it’s the Hosmer in him). After the games and I get done cleaning I meet Tommy, Cindy, Brady, Brooks, Nana, Dad, Mom and Noah at Zaxbys for lunch. Noah is sitting in a big chair and says MOMMY!!! Gosh I love being called that! After lunch I take Noah to aunt Kels so he can play with JP and I can lay on the couch and watch tv. Going to Kels makes me lazy and the boys just play. Jonathan likes having Noah to play with and Noah likes playing with all JP toys! JP keeps taking the hat off Noah not trying to be mean but just trying to take it off and put it back on, well Noah does not like that so I said "just tell him no" Noah turns around and says "No No" while pointing his finger at him. Guess that was my fault but it was cute so Kels and I laugh. So they play more running around the house and I hear them pulling on the gate at the bottom of the stairs. Since I am lazy at Kels I say "oh they can't get that gate down" The more cautious parent goes to check and finds Noah has knocked down the gate and climbing over it and up the stairs. Guess Noah can get the gate down!! Then they play some more and Noah sits in JP little chair drinking his drink. JP walks up to him and Noah starts kicking him. I tell him to stop but Noah decides he didnt kick him hard enough so he kicks him harder and pushes him down. OMG!! I get in Noah's face and tell him that what he did was ugly and not nice and he needs to tell him he is sorry. Noah pats him on his head. Then I say we are going bye bye and JP gets all excited like he is going too. So I say "come on JP lets go" and Kel is saying " No you can’t leave me" Noah goes up to Kel and tries to pick up JP like he does the baby puppy and tries to give JP to me like here mom lets go! It was too funny!
So on our way home I completely forget we have to go get a birthday present for a party tomorrow. I run in Target and the whole time I am trying to find a present for a two year old Noah is waving at EVERYONE in the store. Then a little girl passes with a passy in her mouth and Noah goes crazy yelling Passy mom Passy passy pointing and just yelling. I explain to him that is her passy and noah does not have a passy because he threw it away. (if you don’t know the story in the grocery store Noah threw his passy down the aisle while throwing a fit and that’s how we got rid of the passy) It has been months since we did away with the passy and he still ask for it daily. It kinda saddens me. After we leave there I go meet the girls that I am babysitting tonight. They are spending the night with us and hanging out with us tomorrow. Well we get home and mom comes over to see the girls. For some reason Meagan Mom and Noah go outside to play while kaelin and I are baking a cookie cake. Mom starts calling for us so we go outside and Noah is in the big swing swinging by himself. Then we bring him in for a bath and he would NOT take a bath until mom Kaelin and Meagan and I were in the bathroom where he could see that he was not missing anything exciting. We finally got him to bed! Then the girls decorated the cookie cake and we ate ice cream and cookie cake! Promise I will not blog everyday but since I am just starting out I want you all to get know us!
P.S. I didn’t forget to write about Katie (Andy's Wife) I am just waiting to write a whole blog on her cause she is awesome and Noah loves her)
Stay tuned....

First Post
Ok since I always have so much to say about Noah and this crazy family I am going to try to blog at least once a week. If you do not know us very well I am going to give a little information about each of us. I hear that the more personal your blogs are that the more interested people are so here goes our first blog.
Craig is working at Jim Walter #4 shift 6 days a week. He also has a Harley streetbob, I think, and loves it. I can''t deny that I love it too. Most of Craigs family is in Georgia and he does not get to see them as much as he would like too. His sister Kelli lives here in Alabama with us and her son is three months younger than Noah. Kelli and I try to get together once a week but most of the time it is like once every couple of weeks. Chris, Craigs brother lives in Florida with his Wife(Jenifer) and son(Branham). Branham is around seven or eight months older than Noah.
I am currently substituting in Jefferson and Tuscaloosa county schools. I stay pretty busy subbing at least three times a week if not more. I clean Noahs daycare two nights a week and also tutor three days a week after school. I graduated in May 2011 with Early /Elementary Education and applying for any job that comes along. We live beside my mom and dad and love it here. My mom (BeBe) and dad(Bad Poppa) love being around Noah and seeing him everyday. Noah loves them just as much. They help us out so much and we are so grateful for them. I do not know what I woulld do with out them. Andy (my brother) is married and living in Mobile. We miss him tons but we talk often and it gives us a free place to stay at the beach so can't complain to much. He is happy and doing so well in life that we are nothing but happy for him.
Oh my Noah!! He is 21 months and totally and completely full of him self! He is growing up so much and learning new things everyday. He is so funny! My blogs will mostly be all about him and the things he does. He is all boy and loves it outside. He would rather be outside than anywhere. He loves motorcycles (vroomvroom)tractors, his cars and tricycles. He constantly eats dog food and he also loves mojo (our famiy boxer). Mojo is the best dog he lets Noah do whatever he wants to him. Most days Noah will push me to my limits but I love him more than life its self and wil do anything for my baby boy. Noah stays with mom some days I work and also he goes to daycare. Noah is all smiles he looks like his daddy but he has his momma in him. Noah is very compassionate and loving baby.
Noah is talking and lately he has been trying to form sentences. Like today I said "(huffed) gosh its hot out" Noah replies "(huff) osh hot" well my lesson start watching what you say. We are trying to potty train him and that is a challenge!! He tries but I just feel like he should understand after the one hurndreth million time I take himto they potty. Noahs favorite person is his Bad Poppa. Noah loves to get the screwdriver and "fix it." Tonight he went straight to the junk drawer got the screwdriver out brought his plastic car to Craig and said "fix it" Noah climbed up on the couch and started working on his car. He watches his bad poppa work on things and bad poppa will pretend show him how to fix things. Noah remebers a lot I can be looking everywhere for something and ask noah where it is and he goes straight to it. Noah thinks everything is funny no matter what he is always laughing and smiling. He will chase us around the house trying to run us over with his car then give you a hug and kiss. I call him my little sourpatch kid, sour at first sweet at the end. His favorite book is Good Night Moon. He can almost read the book. He tells me what everything is and can to point anything in the book. He will close it and say "goodnight moon!"
I hope you enjoy my blogs from here on out.
