It has been so long since I blogged because my oh so wonderful husband loves to watch motorcycle videos and he opened a virus that made my computer go insane and I had to put it in the Austin shop for a couple of weeks. Oh husbands!!! On that note I am just going to go ahead and vent! My husband thinks that he should get to come home and sit and rest after work. Hmm I don’t get to come and sit and rest. Nope I have a one year old to handle, dinner to cook, and usually need to be working on something for my sweet little girl I tutor to be working on. Oh well enough about that I am over it.
Onto what you really want to hear about....Noah!! I can’t even remember the last time I put a post but I am pretty sure it was before we went to uncle RayRay’s wedding! This was a weekend that I will never forget, will never do again, and wish it didn’t happen.
The Thursday before I packed everything for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Craig and I both had to work and be in Ashville by 5:30. Craig gets home at 4 and Ashville is a good hour and 45 minutes away. The rehearsal dinner was Friday night and went really well considering we were 15 minutes late (which rayray and jaymie knew we would be because of Craig’s work) Noah fell down the brick steps only twice which was good. The wedding is at a house they had all the chairs set up little tables for the flowers on the isle. It was beautiful! Well Mr. Noah gets out of the car like he owned the place and starts moving the chairs, picking up the tables and moving them, running in the house, I am talking about full throttle. Well everyone was oh cute and loving it while I was about to go insane!!Well we get through that and we decided that we were going to stay in a hotel closer to the wedding site so we wouldn’t have to drive so far back home then all the way back that next morning. So we go stay at a hotel in Pell City. Everything’s going good. Noah loved riding the luggage rack! Well the groom decides they are going to meet for breakfast at 730 because they have to be at the house at 9. Ok so we wake up at 600 get ready and head out. Well we didn’t realize we were going to meet them on the Gadsden side which is like an hour away. Then we get lost for an hour and show up at the breakfast at 8:15 had to leave at 8:30. Ok so the morning goes great Noah is playing we are running outside staying out of the way until the wedding time. I waited until closer to the wedding to put our dress clothes on. Ok keep in mind we have been up since 6 had to be at the house at 9 and wedding starts at 1. We only have one car and almost 2 hours away from home. So we change about 1145 and I finally get Noah asleep he sleeps throught the entire ceremony! I am thinking wow this is going really good and pretty smooth only to realize I was so wrong. The clapping and the end of ceremony wakes Noah up. So we try reception. It was AWFUL!!! Noah completly starts throwing fits screaming running around. Wanting inside and out wanting to eat and not eat. Oh my gosh!! I had been running after this child all morning because Craig was in pictures. The band was setting up, people were decorating, others were cooking, cakes were coming. Not a place for Noah!! Craig is sitting at the table and Noah pitches himself a fit on the dance floor!! He is yelling, throwing himself down, I had to throw my cup down yank him up and take him to timeout in front of EVERYONE!!!! The preacher leans over and says "It does get better." By this time I am tired, frustrated, in tears and I said Craig we have got to go I can’t handle it anymore. We did not even get to see our friends cut the cake and leave. I was so upset I was crying. So we finally leave and we are not going home we are going to Georgia to see Nannie. They have a huge mother’s day every year and Craig hadn’t seen her in so long we decided since we were half way there we would just go on! The trip there was awful. I was tired, Craig was tired, and Noah was beyond tired. I had to sit in the back with him and put my arm over him so he could hold it to keep from screaming. Then Craig and I get into it. So we finally get to Nannies and I took a shower and went to bed. We wake up and have to go straight to the mother’s day cookout because over slept and had no time with nannie. We did have fun at the cookout. The whole family went to Mr. Moody's house which is nannies "friend" he has a huge house with a pool a bar out by the pool and little pool house. He also has a garage with a "man cave" upstairs. He has some land and two four-wheelers. I Noah loved Mommy riding him on the four-wheeler. We had so much fun. Moody also had a golf cart that we took all around the little subdivision around his house. Marlene gave me a plant for mother’s day and the sweetest little card. Kenneth grilled steaks and everyone pitched in on the sides. It was delish food! So we come home and three- three and a half hours later we make it home! I took Noah’s happy self-right to bad poppa where he stayed the night and Craig and I came home unloaded the car threw the bags in the living room and went straight to bed! Exhausted was an understatement! I had to work the entire week so no time for unpacking. Over the week my house just got messier and messier.
Well it is one solid week later and I just cleaned my kitchen, picked up Noah’s toys, unpacked one bag and did one load of laundry I haven’t folded!!! whoop whoop go me! This was our crazy week! Noah went to daycare most every day last week and really didn’t do a whole lot. Of course he has played with his bad poppa and been a boy but nothing insane. Or I just was to tired to even notice.
On another note Nannie did tell me how she was glad I let Noah play in mud puddles and run around without being right around him and allowing him to run from one adult to another without having to walk with him. She said most parents would not do that and Moody and I were talking about how you and Craig just let him go. WOW!! Not so sure if that was a compliment or a you need to watch your child a little closer!! Oh well.
Yesterday at church, as I was talking to another teacher/friend about using them as a reference on my resume for teaching, I look over to find Noah had climbed on the pew with one leg over about to jump!!! Oh my I grabbed his arm and said "Noah have you lost your mind this is not our couch" Well probably not putting them down as a reference anymore!! They didn’t have nursery or toddlers due to graduation Sunday so NOAH WAS IN CHURCH WITH US!! I gave him his little dozer and things to play with, well he just starts banging that dozer on the wall like nothing in the world! Then yells out "MORE TIC TAC PLEASE MOMMY'" well he was so polite I was proud! Then good ole Breanna get out her phone and the child starts taking pictures!!! I didn't care he was quiet and happy! I even only lost him one time and it was cause his dozer worked on the tile floor not carpet so he had to step out of the door. Thank goodness someone else was watching and saw the panic look on my face. He said he is fine he is right here playing!! Oh me I need to take a parenting class.
(just so everyone knows I do watch and take care of my child but we as parents have out moments. Mine just happen to be all at once.)
